EAPP Admission and Primary Writing Requirement (PWR)
EAPP Admission
Students admitted to the University of Rochester through EAPP begin the program in the fall semester with WRTG 103: Reasoning, Writing, and Communication. After completing WRTG 103 with a grade of “C” or higher, in the spring semester, students proceed to WRTG 104: Research, Writing, and Communication.
EAPP Opt-in Admission
If you are an enrolled University of Rochester student who was not admitted through EAPP but are interested in the program, please contact Paige Sloan, EAPP director, at paige.sloan@rochester.edu.

Primary Writing Requirement (PWR)
EAPP students fulfill the primary writing requirement (PWR) by earning a “C” or higher in WRTG 103: Reasoning, Writing, and Communication and WRTG 104: Research, Writing, and Communication.
Mission
- Teaching critical reading, reasoning, and writing courses.
- Teaching communication skills.
- Encouraging greater cross-cultural exchange through participation in campus clubs and activities.
