Graduate Writing Support
At Rochester, the Graduate Writing Project (GWP) supports graduate students from Arts, Sciences and Engineering at any stage in their program, working on any kind of academic writing and research, from abstracts and article submissions to theses and dissertations.
We offer a range of services designed for graduate-student writers at the University, including writing groups, writing retreats, workshops, and tutoring.

Additional Resources
We have made numerous documents available to help our graduate student writers, which can be found in the Graduate Writing Project’s Public Dropbox. These include information on writing strategies (such as free writing and reverse outlines), organizing concepts and ideas, writing group guidelines, and more.
You can also request to join the closed group for the Graduate Writing Project on Facebook.
For additional support with English language (including academic reading, writing, and listening) and US culture, see the English Language Program.
