College Writing Fellows

Writing Fellows

The Writing Fellows are undergraduate peer tutors who provide critical feedback on writing during every stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to revision. Fellows represent many majors and have prepared for tutoring by taking Advanced Writing and Peer Tutoring, WRT 245/ENG 285. The Writing Fellows can help with all writing projects, even lab reports and graduate school essays.

Fellows offer evening hours, Saturday through Thursday, and work in three convenient locations on campus. You don’t need an appointment—just show up with your questions about writing and they will help!

In addition to our walk-in hours, we now accept appointments for meetings with a Writing Fellow at our Sue B office and Carlson Library location. Appointments are available Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday from 7pm – midnight.

Locations:
Rush Rhees Library G119 (at the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program office)

Write-A-Thon:
At the end of each semester, the Writing Fellows offer an all-night marathon of tutoring to support students working on final papers. In December and April, we tutor for 18 hours, starting at 2pm and continuing until 8am the next morning. Check out our news box and Facebook event for specific dates and more info.
