Biography
Dustin studied English and history at Concord University in West Virginia before obtaining his MA in English at the University at Buffalo (where he also worked as an editorial assistant in the university’s Office of Creative Services) and going on to earn his Ph.D. in English at the University of Rochester, focusing on intersections of law and aesthetics in antebellum American literature. He worked as a Marion L. Brittain postdoctoral teaching fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology for two years. He then returned to the University of Rochester to become an assistant professor in the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program, where he teaches first-year writing classes, as well as classes on professional communication and copyediting.
