JOB TITLE: Writing Center Coordinator
This position has been filled.
The Writing Center coordinator manages the daily running of the center. Main duties include recruiting, interviewing, training, scheduling and supervising graduate student consultants. The coordinator also publicizes the center throughout the university and accommodates external requests for writing tutoring. The position involves planning monthly theme meetings on topics such as Writing in the Disciplines or Working with ESL students. The coordinator also handles some correspondence with faculty and serves as a member of the Writing Committee. Other tasks involve planning Center projects and organizing consultants to complete work. Candidates should have prior experience working in a writing center. Compensation: $14,000 Graduate Student Stipend. With the understanding that preference will generally be given to people who have 4 semesters of experience as WRT 105 instructors, we will accept applications from others who have tutored in the College Writing Program.
Please note: the Writing Center coordinator may apply to hold this position for a second 2-year term.

The review committee for the coordinator positions consists of, at minimum, the Writing Program director and/or the associate director or the current coordinator for the posted position, unless there is a conflict of interest.
